Good Move.
Oklahoma City Movers

The greatest Oklahoma City Movers. Great prices and quality.

Father & son owners, over 100 years experience.

We give exact pricing based on a list of items you give us, the price only changes if you add items to the list later or take items away, so price is up front with no hidden charges.

With hourly companies, fuel adjustment or trip charges and some start charges begin from the time they leave the shop until the time they return, so you are charged for 1-2 or 3 hours before they even start working, with Able it doesn't matter how long it takes.

We carry full 'repair and replace' insurance. Where other movers carry insurance 'by the pound', the rate is 60 to 90 cents per pound, so if they drop your big screen TV that weights 100 lbs., they give you 60 to 90 dollars. If Able damages your TV and cannot fix it, the TV would be replaced! We also have cargo insurance and general liability insurance where most movers carry none.

It is always best to check with Better Business Bureau when choosing a mover.

Any items that need to be disassembled or disconnected, our guys will do what’s needed to disassemble and then reassemble and reconnect at your new place.

Locating Qualified Oklahoma City Movers

Over 42 million people move in the U.S. every year. That’s an amazing 1 in 4 adults. Most people will move several times in their lives. Research has shown that relocation ranks third as the most stressful event in a person’s life. Moving can create a lot of upheaval. While we might be enthused about the new home, there can also be sadness in leaving behind a familiar home, neighborhood and friends. The last thing we need to worry about is if Oklahoma City moving company will deliver our belongings safely on the other end.

The right Oklahoma City moving company can take a lot of stress out of the moving process, but finding one may not always be simple. It will involve more than just flipping through the pages of the phonebook. Moving companies can be quite diverse in the services they provide. Some companies may only work locally while others are national or even global. Your specific type of move will, to some extent, determine the Oklahoma City moving company you’ll hire.

Oklahoma City moving company can offer you a wide range of services on top of simply moving your furniture and other belongings. They can rent or sell you sturdy packing boxes, actually do the packing for you, arrange for storage, and unpack everything for you once it reaches its destination. Of course these services will cost extra but it’s nice to know they’re available if you need them.

Pricing can vary greatly from one Oklahoma City moving company to another, providing you with very different estimates for the exact same move. When it comes to your valuables, choosing the lowest estimate might not be the way to go.

Where do You Find a Reliable Oklahoma City Moving Company?

Talk with everyone you know. Almost everyone has gone through a move at one time in their life, so all you need to do is ask around among your friends, family and those you work with to a few recommendations for a quality Oklahoma City moving company. If you used an agent in buying your new home, try asking them for a recommendation. A real estate agent can be a good source of information because they often know about the experiences of their past clients. If you're planning a local move, look for moving vehicles that are working in your city. You know there’s a reason why they’re so busy if you repeatedly see the trucks and vans of a specific Oklahoma City moving company.

Do a search on the computer. A lot of moving companies maintain a website listing their services, how long they’ve been in business, the areas they cover as well as an online estimator page to help you get an initial idea of how much the move will cost you. You can also find their phone number and address along with an email address for any questions you might have. The internet can also help you do some background research on any Oklahoma City moving company you might be considering.

Getting a Bid from the Oklahoma City Movers

Before contacting any of the companies directly, you should call the Better Business Bureau to find out if any of them have any negative reports on file. An Oklahoma City moving company deals with so many customers it’s not unusual that even a very good company might have a complaint or two. What is important is how they handled any complaints and if, in the end, the customer was satisfied.

It’s a good idea to make a list before you call any Oklahoma City moving company. Write down how many rooms you need to be moved, if you have any large pieces such as a piano or oversized curio cabinet and make sure you include the garage or utility shed if you have one. It’s not necessary to be exact but it will help give the Oklahoma City moving company some idea of what you’ll need.

Choosing Your Oklahoma City Movers

It can be a little confusing to compare the different quotes. Rates can vary a lot in the business and since companies use different methods to calculate their bids, you may end up with some very different numbers. One company may charge by the room, another by the load and still another Oklahoma City moving company by the hour.

Be sure that you understand how each Oklahoma City moving company puts together their estimate and that everything is written in detail. Look closely at the fine print. If there are any damages, you need to know what your options are. If you decide to pack your own boxes, many companies will refuse to accept responsibility for any damages unless it was due to direct neglect on their part.

Once you have some information on each Oklahoma City moving company and compare the bids they have given you, you can then narrow your choice down the one Oklahoma City moving company that you feel will do the best job. Moving can definitely be a very stressful time. So the last thing you need to deal with is incompetent movers or damaged possessions. Whether you’re moving down the block or across the country, you need to find a reliable Oklahoma City moving company that you know you can trust.

Testimonials
"I talked with Jim & Sharon a little earlier. They are my wife's parents. They had nothing but high praises about your movers that you sent today. They said the guys were very polite, nice, and courteous. They really appreciated everything they did. So, you can bet that I'll be referring other people I know to your company when I hear they are moving!!! Thanks!!!"

"Forgive the delay..good intentions don't always result in prompt action. We moved last November. Your guys, Bobby, Terry, and Chris were great. Nothing broken, no surprises, efficient, and pleasant. Their attention to detail and commendable work ethic reflected excellent leadership in your company. Thanks again. As long as you are in business, we will refer friends to you and call you first thing when we need your services again."

"This was my second move using Able Movers and I must say that both times your crews made these unpleasant chores much less stressful and worrisome for me. On May 18th, your crew moved me from Regency Tower to Wedgewood Apts. Both sites, were 'pain in the butt' moving locations because of elevators, load docks, and stairs. My belongings arrived without so much as a chipped coffee cup! Thanks again for hiring such conscientious and uncomplaining crews. Hopefully my next move will be to a home of my own. See you in a few years!
